The ZFF Type Float Valve connecting with the top of the drill bit is mainly used for preventing blowout from the bottom of the drill pipe. Furthermore, the tool can be viewed as coordinated sub in the event of the tool is at a loose end. In fact, it is an one-way valve which not blocking the circulation of the mud, but can hold back the blowout occured.

Construction

The Float Valve consists of body and float valve assembly installed within the body when working. The float valve includes valve seat, cone valve, valve rod, guide sleeve, spring, platen, sealing ring. The cone valve is placed against the taper hole of the valve seat under the action of the spring force. When being direct circulation, the cone valve will be opened by the slurry and flow through outer cone valve. In contrast, the cone valve will be closed automatically.
